The locomotive with a tender features an mfx digital decoder and extensive sound functions. It has a special motor mounted in the boiler, with three powered axles and traction tires. The boiler and running gear are made of metal. A factory-installed smoke unit is included. The triple headlights change with the direction of travel, operate in conventional mode, and can be controlled digitally. Warm white LEDs are used for lighting. There is a close coupling with a guide mechanism between the locomotive and the tender. The rear of the tender includes an NEM pocket with a close coupler and guide mechanism, while the front of the locomotive also has an NEM pocket with a close coupler. All cars are equipped with close couplers and guide mechanisms. Train length is 54.4 cm (21-3/8").
