300 years after the events of How to Train Your Dragon, dragons are nothing more than a legend in the modern world. When a massive, kilometer-deep fissure opens up in the Earth's surface due to a geological anomaly, scientists from around the globe gather at a new research facility to investigate the mysterious phenomenon. Soon, a group of teenage outsiders, brought to the facility by their parents, discovers the truth about dragons and their hiding place—a secret they must keep to protect what they have uncovered. Alex is a technical genius, an inventor, and loves science. She is afraid of nature—especially large animals. Therefore, she has to overcome many fears during her adventures alongside her friends. Alex's dragon, Feathers, has beautiful bird-like wings and can adapt to its surroundings like a chameleon. She is very friendly and playful, like a puppy, and sometimes requires special attention because she always tries to play with other dragons.
