To use the Tonies audio system, you need a 2.4 GHz b/g/n Wi-Fi connection with internet access, as well as an internet-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, or PC) for the initial setup. Additionally, to use Creative Tonies, you will need a Toniecloud customer account. There, you can manage the content you want to link with your Creative Tonie. Registration for your customer account is free.

Last but not least, you can download the free smartphone app, available for iOS from version 9 and Android from version 4.4 (KitKat). With this app, you can record your own voice messages and assign them to your Creative Tonies. You can also invite friends or family to record content for your Tonies. You always have control over who can access which Tonie. Thanks to the flash memory, your Tonie can hold up to 400 hours of audio content. The battery life is 7 hours.
