2. Schleich Tyrannosaurus Rex

The Tyrannosaurus Rex looked very threatening, but it could hardly make use of its short front legs, which were equipped with only two claws, as they did not even reach its mouth. Standing almost seven meters tall and nearly thirteen meters long, the Tyrannosaurus Rex was probably not a particularly good hunter, but rather a scavenger that fed on what other animals left behind. It had more than fifty teeth, each over 15 centimeters long, which it used not for chewing but for tearing, as it swallowed its food in large pieces. To enhance depth perception while foraging for food, the eyes of the Tyrannosaurus Rex were positioned forward, allowing the fields of vision of both eyes to overlap.

The Schleich figures are all modelled true to detail, lovingly hand-painted and stand for pedagogically valuable playing. Translated, Brachiosaurus means as much as Army lizard. The Triceratops was one of the last large dinosaurs. Although it was a herbivore, it had a total of up to 800 teeth that constantly grew back. However, it was unable to chew its food, as it could not move its jaw sideways. It used its teeth to cut through palm leaves and ferns.

9. Schleich Velociraptor

Velociraptors were likely very intelligent dinosaurs that hunted in packs. Although they were only 60 centimeters tall, these carnivores could overpower prey much larger than themselves. These dinosaurs reached speeds of up to 65 kilometers per hour and were capable of quick turns thanks to their stiff tails. To eat their prey, Velociraptors had eighty sharp, curved teeth in their flat snouts, some of which were 2.5 centimeters long. The Velociraptor is considered one of the smartest and fastest dinosaurs.

10. Schleich Ankylosaurus

The Ankylosaurus was a herbivorous dinosaur that did not hunt but was well-equipped for defense. When it felt threatened, it would swing its heavy, bony tail club and strike at its attackers. It could likely even crush large bones with it. The Ankylosaurus from Schleich Dinosaurs offers many exciting play scenarios.
