Yes. We observe the same thing: the headphones can feel like they are turned up too loud. Not good.

Do you need the headphones for yourself or for the kids at school? :)
Basically, if there is a limit of 85db, this should be adhered to. Since noises as well as sound are difficult to assess, it is often difficult for me, at least, to correctly assess differences in volume.
