These are the game highlights in November

October, which was packed with games, will be followed by a no less hectic November. And you’ll find all the most important new releases right here.

This month’s features include colourful little pocket monsters, the world’s fastest hedgehog, a slightly less angry god of war, wacky goats, and a vampire-infested Wild West. But first, there’s some gardening to do.

4 November

«Harvestella»

Take care of your farm, plant vegetables, remove weeds and fight giant insects on the side. On the side, you’ll get to cuddle your fluffy rabbit dog. «Harvestella» is a farm simulator with a fair amount of fantasy role-playing.

«Harvestella» will come to PC and Switch.

8 November

«Football Manager 2023»

Those of you who find the «FIFA» career mode too superficial will surely be delighted with «Football Manager». You can manage your club down to the smallest detail. And for that extra dose of realism, you can download the right match schedules, jerseys and player portraits online.

«Football Manager 2023» will be released for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, Switch and Mobile.

«Sonic Frontiers»

Sega just can’t stop trying to release an actually decent game featuring everyone’s favourite blue hedgehog. And «Sonic Frontiers» certainly isn’t lacking in ambition. This release, an open world game reminiscent of «Zelda: Breath of the Wild», will supposedly finally set things right. I’m intrigued.

«Sonic Frontiers» will be released for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X and Switch.

9 November

«God of War Ragnarök»

Kratos, the god of war, is back. He’s trying to prevent Ragnarok, the end of the world, joined once again by his son Atreus. But first, he’ll have to battle both fate and a headstrong teenager seeking his destiny. Brutal action and an epic story are guaranteed.

«God of War Ragnarök» will be released for PS4 and PS5.

11 November

«Tactics Ogre Reborn»

«Reborn» is a completely revised re-release of the nearly 20-year-old strategy role-playing game. In addition to the graphics, improvements include modernised game design and a German translation for the first time.

«Tactics Ogre Reborn» will come to PC, PS4, PS5 and Switch.

15 November

«Pentiment»

To find out what’ll happen after you’re bought by Microsoft and given free rein to do something completely different for once, just look at «Pentiment». «Fallout New Vegas» developers Obsidian have come back with a historical puzzle role-playing game set in 16th century Eastern Germany. The art style is just as unusual and intriguing as the medieval works of art it mimics.

«Pentiment» will be released for PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X.

17 November

«Goat Simulator 3»

That crazed goat is at it again – and this time, it’s brought reinforcements. This newest instalment has you roaming the neighbourhood with your friends, causing chaos and destruction.

«Goat Simulator 3» will come to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series S/X.

18 November

«The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me»

«The Dark Pictures Anthology» is a series of short cinematic horror games. In this newest part, you’ll accompany a documentary film crew to a replica of a murder castle. Quick time events and life-or-death decisions are the order of the day.

«The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me» will be released for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X.

«Pokémon Scarlet and Violet»

If you say it long enough, eventually it has to come true. «Pokémon Scarlet and Violet» is once again the first open-world Pokémon game. If the game world turns out as empty as it was in the last two titles, it won’t make much of a splash. Pokémon fans are excited nonetheless, as my jittery work colleagues assure me.

«Pokémon Scarlet and Violet» will be exclusive to Switch.

22 November

«Evil West» will be released for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X.

29 November

«World of Warcraft: Dragonflight»

With the Dracthyr, WoW’s ninth expansion brings a race-class combination to the game for the very first time . The level cap on the Dragon Isles has increased to 70, and there are four new zones – both for questing and learning to ride dragons.

«World of Warcraft: Dragonflight» will be released on PC.

30 November

«Warhammer 40,000: Darktide»

To end on another highlight: «Darktide» is a co-op action game. In it, you’ll shoot and slaughter your way through the dark monster-infested Warhammer world with your friends. The game was made by the same studio that created both «Vermintide» one and two, promising nerve-wracking missions that you’ll often only survive on your very last sliver of health.

«Darktide» will come to PC.

As a child, I wasn't allowed to have any consoles. It was only with the arrival of the family's 486 PC that the magical world of gaming opened up to me. Today, I'm overcompensating accordingly. Only a lack of time and money prevents me from trying out every game there is and decorating my shelf with rare retro consoles.
