Product details
The semi-open headphones reduce external noise but do not completely seal off, providing a harmonious sound experience. They have been part of the beyerdynamic portfolio for over 20 years and remain very popular. All components are available as spare parts, making the DT 880 Edition a long-lasting companion. The DT 880 Edition sounds very neutral and relaxed. The bass reproduction goes very deep but is not overly emphasized. This is particularly appreciated by jazz and classical music lovers, as the headphones sound very transparent, allowing the individual components of the music to be clearly differentiated and audible. Due to its semi-open design, the DT 880 Edition allows some ambient sound to enter and exit, but it dampens it more than an open headphone like the DT 990 Edition.
The over-ear headphones are very lightweight for their size and have a comfortable fit thanks to their carefully selected materials. The soft ear pads are made of skin-friendly and breathable velour, effectively keeping heat away from your ears—even during hours of music enjoyment. Additionally, a comfortable headband and robust aluminum ear brackets ensure a pleasant fit and high stability for this premium headphone. Nothing stands in the way of extensive listening sessions.
