Seniors love their smartphones, but many shy away from the demanding user interfaces and fast-moving apps they find on most devices. The latest is the Doro 8100, an affordable smartphone targeted at 55+.

What is special about the Doro 8100?

The Doro 8100 is a special smartphone for seniors...
- Simple set-up process
- Solid display
- good battery life
- sedate pace
- Missing unlock option through fingerprint scanner
First of all, for me as a smartphone geek and technology nerd, the Doro 8100 is not a device that I like to use in everyday life. However, I am not the target group and my grandmother, to whom I gave the device for use, was quite taken with the simplicity with which newcomers are introduced to the smartphone world. So: Target achieved!
