It supports all common burning formats such as DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW and DVD-RAM. The burning speed is 22xDVD±R, 8xDVD+RW, 40xCD-R, 24xCD-RW and 6xDVD-RW. The DVD burner also burns media with DVD+R Double and DVD-R Dual Layer. The maximum reading speed for DVDs is 16x, while CDs are read at 48x. The burner can be installed either horizontally or vertically. The internal DVD burner is integrated via a SATA interface.
