GESPPoE is a passive PoE injector with surge protection. It provides 24V passive PoE with a power output of 24W per port. The RJ-45 speed is 10/100/1000 Mbit/s. The DC spark-over voltage is 75V at 100V/s, the maximum impulse spark-over voltage is 700V at 1kV/μs, and the discharge current is 3kA (8/20 μs). PoE support: passive PoE. The operating temperature ranges from -40 to 70 °C.

A typical application scenario looks like this: you have a mast with several antennas and some switches on the ground. Place the GESP surge protector there. It is sealed in a new and improved weatherproof IP67 housing, ensuring your antennas are safe during a thunderstorm. Now add the GESPPOE-IN injector below the mast to protect the switches and power the antennas.

Don't forget the grounding cable. Attach it to the rack mount, mast, or another structure that is connected to the ground. For maximum protection, you should use surge protection at both ends of long cables. These small devices can make a difference when it comes to lightning strikes or static discharge. A small investment can save a lot of time and money. The GESP units can typically withstand multiple lightning strikes but should be checked for condition after each strike.

For mounting the GESP units, we recommend using PVC cable ties. It is said to hope for the best but prepare for the worst. This small investment can save a lot of time and money, so why take a risk? Get a GESP and GESPPOE-IN and worry no more.
