Product details

Mirrorless Nikon camera with DX format. Magical shots. Create everlasting memories - with a mirrorless camera that fits securely in your hand. Brilliant colours even in low light. A familiar pose from a new angle. The play of shadows when the sun is high in the sky. With the lightweight and flexible Nikon Z 50 mirrorless camera, you can take brilliant photos and make breathtaking films. The camera is fast, powerful and easy to use.

Thanks to the outstanding image quality of the Nikon Z 50, you can capture the world as you see it. The large diameter of the Nikon Z bayonet allows the DX format sensor with 20.9 megapixels to capture more light at every angle of the image field. And more light means more detail. Whether by day or by night - the colours in photos and films are more brilliant. They capture more depth. The sharpness is breathtaking.

You can take perfectly focused photos and 4K films. The hybrid autofocus is fast, precise and works extremely evenly. The AF points on the sensor cover (approx.) 90 % of the image section horizontally and vertically - for consistently sharp images. The focus captures subjects in the centre as well as at the edge of the image section and even follows moving subjects. Thanks to the ISO range of 100-51,200 and the low-light autofocus, you can take hand-held photos day and night. Whether you're shooting street scenes at night or portraits in low light, the Z 50 lets you capture more detail than ever before.

Natural portraits of people - or cats or dogs - are now even better. Eye AF detects and fixes eyes for perfect portraits. The animal detection AF works in the same way for dogs and cats. The focus is also reliably tracked for people in motion. The Nikon Z 50 focuses quietly and has a silent shutter release. This means you can take pictures anywhere without disturbing others.

DigitalPhotoSingle testReleaseFebruary 2026

Rank 12 out of 20DigitalPhotoSystemkamera im TestReleaseMarch 2025
