These thermal pads are ideally suited to compensate for height differences and unevenness on heat sinks and the components to be cooled. Due to their excellent elastic compressibility and low hardness, even a small amount of pressure achieves a very good adaptation to the surfaces. They compensate for all large and small height differences, from microscopic grooves to visible irregularities. The surface of the pad is slightly sticky and covered with a protective film that must be removed before installation. This slight adhesive property comes into play, preventing any slipping during the mounting of a heat sink. These thermal pads can also be cut to the desired size. They are suitable for use with RAM coolers on graphics cards as well as for voltage regulators on motherboards. Even for large components such as the North or Southbridge, these thermal adhesive pads can be used due to their excellent thermal conductivity.
