Goobay Network cable
S/FTP, CAT8.1, 25 m
Hi, on other pages it says that the cable has a diameter of approx. 8.2mm.
Here is a list of the CAT definition Category: Bandwidth: Type: Class: Example applications: CAT 1 0.4 MHz UTP A telephone cable CAT 2 4 MHz UTP B ISDN or terminal systems CAT 3 16 MHz UTP C ISDN and telephone cables, 10BASE-T and 100BASE-T4 CAT 4 20 MHz UTP token ring with 16 Mbit/s CAT 5 100 MHz UTP D 100BASE-TX and 1000BASE-T or SONET CAT 6 250 - 500 MHz UTP or STP E 1000BASE-T, 10GBASE-T or 155-Mbit-ATM and 622-Mbit-ATM CAT 7 600 - 1,000 MHz S/FTP F or FA 10GBASE-T CAT 8 1,600 - 2,000 MHz S/FTP G 40GBASE-T and 100GBASE-T ATTENTION : Bandwidth is not transmission frequency, because double lines (partly 4-fold) and multi-level pulse amplitude modulation are used. E.G. : CAT 7 makes 10 GB in CAT 8 (as in the others) there are subcategories CAT 8.1 and CAT 8.2. They differ mainly in the connector. CAT 8.1. has RJ45.
The plug has the normal size, only the cable is flat approx. 1 - 1.5 mm
Thank you for pointing this out, I have already requested such a correction to the data. The conductor material is indeed CCA.
Not at all. Galaxus will hardly go to the trouble of selling cables by the metre. So either buy 100 metres of cable or 5 metres ready-made. Another online shop may have cable by the metre for CAT cables. But I haven't seen anything at Galaxus. Good - my order for the cable was ages ago.
Yes, a plastic cable reel with a diameter of approx. 300 mm.
Yes, this also works with the Swisscom Box.
Most modern network cards can automatically adapt to the cable type with Auto-MDIX (automatic medium-dependent interface crossover), so no need to ask questions in my opinion
Yes, any CAT6a cable is compatible with all PoE standards.
10 metres = 1000 cm
In principle, this should have no influence.
