Really gets things done, but is "loud on the top".

I didn't buy this fan here at Galaxus, but directly from Arctic. What can I say? Yes, the part really does blow a lot of air with its max. approx. 3,300 rpm, but that is also associated with a clear background noise. I replaced the P12 Max with a defective bequiet! Silent Wings 3 as a system fan (at the back) in a bequiet! Silent Base 800 case. It does its job really well and runs absolutely quietly and inaudibly in idle (i.e. desktop mode). Only from about 2,000 RPM can it be heard in an absolutely quiet room in a silent case. But if the speed rises above 2,200-2,300 RPM, it becomes increasingly louder and you can hear it clearly. At/on max. RPM (at approx. 3,200 RPM) it makes quite a racket, but that hardly ever happens in its intended use as a case fan. On CPU fans and radiators, however, it may look different.

My conclusion: As a pure case fan, an Arctic P12 or F12 is also sufficient. On coolers or radiators, it manages a few degrees Celsius less, but that is then also associated with a clear background noise, depending on the fan curve setting.

Powerful cooling capacity for substitution of fans on air coolers

So far I am satisfied with the results.
Previously I had set a TTL at 88°C with the Kaze Flex fans, so I am now a whole 19°c cooler.
Attached is a picture of the results I tested, as well as a link to a fan database conversation
    on Igorslab.

    Very good

The fans replace the 3 Silentwings Pro that I had installed around 3 years ago. The significantly higher flow rate is noticeable, the processor and graphics card now stay much cooler even with very demanding games or non-optimised games like Star Citizen and therefore have less speed on the fans... Overall, the case and hardware remain significantly cooler and the Arctic P12 max rarely exceed 55-60% speed and also remain very quiet in this range... In combination with the fair price, a clear recommendation.

    Pro

    • High air volume
    • High air pressure
    • Relatively quiet
    • favourable

    Contra

    • nothing to criticise

The cheapest of all efficient 120mm air coolers currently on the market

If you are interested in the more expensive (approx. 30CHF), but also most efficient 120mm air coolers (possibly not available on Digitec), the models are:
Be Quiet!, Silent Wings Pro 4
    Phanteks, T30
    Nidec, Gentle Typhoon
    Noctua
    NF-A12x25
    Lian Li P28
    CM Mobius 120 (OC)

    Pro

    • Of the most efficient 120mm fan coolers currently on the market, this is the cheapest

    Contra

    • No RGB (if this is important to you)

    Top fan

Makes a great CPU fan. CPU runs around 8°C cooler in the stress test than with the fan supplied with the AIO. Only gets loud at high speeds, which is usually not necessary with this performance anyway and can be avoided with a good fan curve setting. Impressive for the price.

    Pro

    • High performance
    • Impressively quiet up to 2500 rpm

Digitec stole my money but didn't deliver. Not the first time.

Long waiting time, no product. Possibly punishment from Digitec because I complained about waiting for another product. Selling products that don't exist is becoming the new normal at Digitec.

    Edit for Claude the GenXer
: are you working for Digitec? I bet you do. Is that why I can't reply to your comment?
I am done with your games. In the last few years it happens all the times that I get promised to get my orders in a few days only to wait for weeks and weeks. And then a mail arrives telling me that it will take months. If you know that you don't have an item in your inventory then be honest. I am done with your false advertising. But well, what to expect from a company who advertises it's products with sexist advertisement. Well, female PC enthusiasts don't like products compared to boobs or being reduced to a complaining PlayStation. But what to expect from you, if your parent company Migros uses easter bunnies to mock black people and LGBTQAI people?
You send out mails telling me that my product will take months to deliver instead of days and can't even reply to your mails. I am done with you and your monopoly. I am only using Digitec if I absolutely have to and go to Steg for the rest even if it sucks to drive all the way up to Dübendorf. They are smaller but they at least I feel respected when I walk in to the store. They never ever let me know that I am only a woman unlike Digitec who likes to rub it in that I am only worth half of what a male customer would be worth. Digitec doesn't respect anybody who isn't white male and upper middle class. You guys would do anything to take a dump on us that's for sure. But tell that to a rich GenX man you guys don't understand. Because you prefer to be a sadist. Your just like the boomers. Go to hell.

    Contra

    • doesn't exist at Digitec
    • Gets cancelled with no explanation
