I am one of those people who shamelessly exploit everything the manufacturer says without showing mercy to my wallet. So I was able to test the phone more or less down to the core.
Waterproof up to 2M for 1 hour - I never threw it into water 2M deep, but I did take it into the bathtub every day for 2 weeks. Even my girlfriend became jealous of the phone. The smartphone uses a sophisticated technique for the rubber seals that close the holes, meaning they can't be worn down easily by much use, ingenious isn't it? Unfortunately, the comment signs are not enough to explain this.
The speakers crack extremely after a bath, it can take quite a while until they are completely dry again, but they work perfectly afterwards. Although the device works in the rain (display), drops of water can operate the device unintentionally, so be careful!
I didn't put it in the oven at temperatures between +50° and -25°, but someone on YouTube did, and it survived.
BUT: I took it with me on the motorbike from Frankfurt to Winterthur (4h ride in sleet) in winter. Temperatures from -5° to unbeatable -15° around Stuttgart. Even this phone can't beat the technical limits. After 15 minutes, the phone tells you that the battery is too cold. The battery can no longer be measured or charged properly and the charge (display) drops to 7% over the course of 4 hours, but it lasted 4 hours at temperatures as low as -15°C. When I did that with my Note 4, it died, which is why I bought the s41 as a replacement.
The Cat store is, well, not a store, it just shows what Cat users like to download....
The camera: Not so cool and the lens at the back has also got scratches, probably no Gorilla 5 on the cam.....
The phone also experienced a really hard fall, the metal got an aesthetic groove, but otherwise everything is OK.

I bought the S41 primarily as a bicycle navigation device. I use Komoot as an app, where many route suggestions can be downloaded throughout Europe. The battery consumption when navigating is approx. 10% per hour. This is enough to cycle all day. The GPS signal reception is excellent. I bought the "Universal Bike Kit / Quad Lock" as a mount for the bike. Available from Veloplus or m-way.

I was very satisfied with it.
Still in work without any problem.

promises what it delivers. use it daily on the construction site with fine dust and it's great.
