I am one of those people who shamelessly exploit everything the manufacturer says without showing mercy to my wallet. So I was able to test the phone more or less down to the core.
Waterproof up to 2M for 1 hour - I never threw it into water 2M deep, but I did take it into the bathtub every day for 2 weeks. Even my girlfriend became jealous of the phone. The smartphone uses a sophisticated technique for the rubber seals that close the holes, meaning they can't be worn down easily by much use, ingenious isn't it? Unfortunately, the comment signs are not enough to explain this.
The speakers crack extremely after a bath, it can take quite a while until they are completely dry again, but they work perfectly afterwards. Although the device works in the rain (display), drops of water can operate the device unintentionally, so be careful!
I didn't put it in the oven at temperatures between +50° and -25°, but someone on YouTube did, and it survived.
BUT: I took it with me on the motorbike from Frankfurt to Winterthur (4h ride in sleet) in winter. Temperatures from -5° to unbeatable -15° around Stuttgart. Even this phone can't beat the technical limits. After 15 minutes, the phone tells you that the battery is too cold. The battery can no longer be measured or charged properly and the charge (display) drops to 7% over the course of 4 hours, but it lasted 4 hours at temperatures as low as -15°C. When I did that with my Note 4, it died, which is why I bought the s41 as a replacement.
The Cat store is, well, not a store, it just shows what Cat users like to download....
The camera: Not so cool and the lens at the back has also got scratches, probably no Gorilla 5 on the cam.....
The phone also experienced a really hard fall, the metal got an aesthetic groove, but otherwise everything is OK.

I bought the S41 primarily as a bicycle navigation device. I use Komoot as an app, where many route suggestions can be downloaded throughout Europe. The battery consumption when navigating is approx. 10% per hour. This is enough to cycle all day. The GPS signal reception is excellent. I bought the "Universal Bike Kit / Quad Lock" as a mount for the bike. Available from Veloplus or m-way.
Pro
I was very satisfied with it.
Still in work without any problem.

the hardwere is in perfect condition, android has completely failed, the case and the armour glass are scratched but the display is not.
promises what it delivers. use it daily on the construction site with fine dust and it's great.
The phone is certainly durable and has a good battery, however the photos are of poor quality, especially inside. The manufacturer's overlay sucks. And the phone often suffers from slowdowns.

Simplicity in configuration
Pro:
+ The battery actually lasts a very long time.
+ The screen doesn't scratch particularly quickly, although it still scratches easily, of course.
+ Is drop-resistant and waterproof. It should be noted, however, that the speakers don't work for a while if they get wet.
Con:
- Poorly made. After about 1.5 years, the seal on the SIM slots has come loose, so only the plastic cover still protects them.
- It came off completely once and had to be reset during normal use. I've never had this happen before with a smartphone.
Super coolio: large battery on standby for several days and waterproof, 2 SIMs

Large battery, great for work
Large battery capacity
Perfect phone for outdoors. Battery lasts forever. System is not always stable (have noticed a few bugs) but nothing bad, doesn't bother at all. Camera not so good and slow
I bought the device today (not at Digitec, because they couldn't deliver it today).
The device is a disaster. The screen has a yellow tint. Bluetooth volume has a mini range.
super full of bugs
The mobile phone convinces me completely.
It fell out of my pocket while climbing about 40m and didn't break when it hit the forest floor.
Despite the stability, a good look.

Finally, a robust smartphone. After destroying several iPhones and Xperias, this device has been with me for a year and has survived.
It's huge for a pocket, but I've got used to it.
My favourite question: "Wow, is that a cat case?"

Robust, waterproof, very long battery life, what could be better? (well! a bit heavy, but for me, it's so much better, it prevents me from forgetting it and I feel "naked" as soon as I don't have it with me!)

I have been a satisfied owner of the S41 for a year. The battery life in particular impresses me compared to competing products. I have not yet used the waterproof feature directly. Performance is OK. Unfortunately, it has a lot of preinstalled apps which I hardly need.
Is what I expected: solid craftsmanship, crash proof, super battery life and moderate camera (compared to Apple). Also runs faster than expected.
-It has a lot of trouble connecting to certain devices via Bluetooth (it can't be the receiver, as it works fine with other Android devices).
-The storage space is very small even though I don't have many apps on it. A memory cartridge doesn't help much because you can't save many files on it (ok. That can be considered my fault).
-What bothers me the most is that I dropped the phone on the floor from a height of about 1m and now the front camera is broken (purple stiff across the picture) it says on the warranty that camera lenses are excluded from the warranty. For a "construction site mobile phone" that advertises its robustness, this is absolutely a no-go.
-Battery performance has extremely decreased within approx. 9 months.
For me as a "normal consumer" (22 years and for private use) it has almost no advantages, only disadvantages (except the price and the battery performance) compared to another mobile phone (my last Sony Xperia survived considerably more falls). I will definitely not buy another Cat phone.
Robust smartphone, helpful app library for many leisure activities, long-lasting battery, can be used as a powerbank, a strong device !
Super Natel Robust
Perfect for construction!
works perfectly for whatsapp and phone calls.
other apps also work well, but sometimes not quite as fast. doesn't break anymore for that :)
I bought the CAT S41 after I had damaged my new smartphone from Wiko after only three days due to a fall. The device is still running but the display is defective. In contrast, the CAT makes a much more robust impression, but you should still treat it with caution. The battery life stated by the manufacturer (43 days standby and 38 hours talk time) seems much too high to me, but the battery life is really good, at the moment the device was recharged 1 day and 16 hours ago and the battery still has 63% capacity. Hardware keys are rather rare nowadays and unfortunately they are really a bit stiff but you can live with that. Negative notice: The phone constantly restarts with almost every memory card I have. Some of them work at first, but as soon as you load additional data onto the card, it starts all over again. I don't know if this is an isolated case, but it's annoying in any case. Unfortunately, CAT only has Android 7 preinstalled and it will be a few months before the update is released. You shouldn't expect miracles from the camera, in daylight the pictures are quite decent, but when you zoom in, there are massive weaknesses in the image sharpness and detail fidelity, which is a shame! Fortunately, CAT has held back on the additional software and only installs its own Appstore, which is actually just an extension of the Play Store with the apps that CAT users install the most. All in all, however, the CAT S41 offers a good overall package at a fair price and it is by no means only suitable for construction workers but also for users like me who spend a lot of time in nature and who do not want to do without their beloved smartphone in any wind and weather. What is absurd, however, is that you can set Rhaeto-Romanic and lots of unknown languages, but there is no German/Swiss scheme, but there is Frisian and much more.
