A new main feature of USB 3.0 and USB 3.2 Gen 1 is the SuperSpeed bus, which increases the maximum transfer rate to 5.0 Gbit/s. USB 3.0 and USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports are compatible with USB 2.0 device connectors for the respective physical form factors. The cables can be used with current Type A PCs.
