When pressed, it mutes the sound, and when released, the sound returns. It can be used as either a volume or tone pot. 25 KOhm, logarithmic, for active pickups.

The SH 124 Kill Pot is a unique potentiometer with a momentary push switch for electric guitars. It temporarily cuts off the sound when pressed and automatically returns when released.
