Question about Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music

My watch constantly loses the Bluetooth connection to the Connect app, i.e. I don't get any notifications on the watch.... After opening the Connect app, it works again for about 10 minutes, then the connection is gone again (I leave the app open in the background!) Does anyone have similar problems or tips?

I could not find this problem so far, worked fine with Sony xperia z5 (Android Nougat I think) and Oneplus 6 (Android Oreo and Pie). Which smartphone is being used? Maybe there are more details on the manufacturer's website or in the forum at Garmin.
