There have been various reports that the Sony Xperia 5 IV overheats quickly and then has to throttle down its performance. Can several users confirm this, or could these be isolated cases?
I don't have any problems either. But I don't play the game on my mobile phone either.
I have had the phone since December and this has never been the case until now. However, I am a "normal user" (no special games or long videos). A great phone for my needs :)
This should definitely be a problem, because the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor is one of the hottest processors you can have in a smartphone. Thermal throttling is unfortunately also simply part of it. The processor is not optimal when used under load. Years ago, the Snapdragon 870 was one of the fastest and is still very fast today. It doesn't have as many problems with thermal throttling as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
