Yes, that works. You can even buy another set of plates from Delonghi (grill plate kit 5517910001), they are compatible. I have this and it works perfectly.

There must have been a mistake ;-) The dimensions would be:
Width: 355 mm
Height: 180 mm
Depth: 445 mm
The more expensive version (326) also includes plates for baking waffles. These are not included in the standard version (cheaper).
Unfortunately we don't have any waffle plates in our range, I recommend you contact Braun directly.
