At the end of 2025, we added twelve new appliances to our test database: all of them robot hoovers with a mopping function. All of the new models have a service station with a dust tank, some also have a water tank. The stations relieve humans of work - for example, by pumping dust out of the robot or cleaning the mop cloths. However, this convenience comes at a price.

Product details
Experience a new dimension in household cleaning with the Roborock Saros Z70. As the world's first vacuum and mopping robot with an integrated gripper arm, the OmniGrip, it not only picks up dust and dirt, but also small obstacles such as socks or towels - fully automatically or via app control if desired. Equipped with the StarSight 2.0 navigation system, it recognises over 100 different objects thanks to 3D ToF sensors and RGB cameras and navigates precisely through complex rooms. Obstacles are automatically avoided or, if necessary, removed by the gripper arm. With impressive suction power of 22,000 Pa, rotating mops with automatic lifting function and an AdaptLift chassis, the Saros Z70 cleans carpets, tiles and wooden floors thoroughly - even over door thresholds of up to 4 cm. The multifunctional Dock 4.0 takes care of hot water cleaning, mop drying, water change and self-cleaning fully automatically - for maximum hygiene without effort. Whether by app, voice command or the activation command "Hello, Rocky." - the controls are simple and intuitive. Of course, the Saros Z70 is compatible with Alexa, Google Home, Siri and Matter. Roborock Saros Z70 - the robot that can do more than just vacuum. It intervenes when others stop.

- Thorough suction and wiping performance tested
- Matter support
- Arm cleans up
- Intelligent carpet strategy
- High price
- Edge cleaning could be improved

- High-quality robot hoover
- Almost maintenance-free
- Effective vacuuming, mopping and edge cleaning
- Unlike any other model on the market
- The most advertised function does not work properly
- Incredibly expensive
On the one hand, the Saros Z70 from Roborock is a really powerful robot hoover with a high-quality, fully equipped docking station. However, the technology advertised as the main function does not currently work reliably throughout. For this reason, we cannot give it an unqualified recommendation to buy at this time.

- spectacular OmniGrip robotic arm
- Ultra-flat design thanks to StarSight System 2.0
- good cleaning performance
- High price
- Limited possibilities of the robot arm
Is the Roborock Saros Z70 impressive? Without a doubt! When it extends its arm, your eyes go wide (at least the first few times). It's impressive to see the robot vacuum clearing its own path to clean the entire area and helping to tidy up at the same time. Technically, the Saros Z70 is undoubtedly the most exciting representative of its kind currently on the market, even if not everything went smoothly...
- Very good cleaning performance, gets well under furniture and over door thresholds
- Relatively expensive, docking station quite large, weaknesses when filing
With its gripper arm, the Saros Z70 brings a breath of fresh air to the robot hoover market. It recognises socks and shoes, removes small items and thus frees up space for cleaning. Picking things up usually works well, but not yet when it comes to putting them down. The Z70 achieved top results when vacuuming and mopping, leaving woolly mice and stains no chance...
