It should run out of the bottom by itself, otherwise take out the plug in the middle and see if it is clogged. The water on top of the lid is normal (condensation) and there is probably nothing you can do about it. For me, the thermostat is the problem so that the drinks are actually always almost frozen, even on the minimum setting....

We have the cooler stationed in the holiday home (not in operation all year round). We also have condensation on the lid. We only noticed the condensation running out of the bottom inside the unit on the first day when we started it up.
We helped ourselves out with a flowerpot saucer in which we placed the cooler. The condensation on the lid is probably unavoidable.
