"Hello, is the piston also made of stainless steel?
fortunately NOT !.. but brass. keeps temperature more constant, has no deposits except 'normal' lime residues, which are dissolved well with 'ordinary' descaler (1part with 2parts water).
"I have been using this type of machine for years and in 3 minutes it is set to a very constant temperature (PID = 96-98 degrees).
I NEVER switch this off ! - gives instant espresso - AND in my 40 years of experience I use much LESS electricity, because heating up takes much more energy !
Of course, a cover (fruit tray) must be placed over the cups that are kept warm so that the accumulated heat CANNOT escape.
This procedure also puts LESS strain on the individual machine parts!
Have a GOOD ESPRESSO / RISTRETTO !

I think so. We are very satisfied with the Lelit. However, it takes a little longer than 3 minutes to warm up;-)
