2. Thule OutWay Platform 2

Maximum fastening security to the vehicle is provided by steel cables. Quick and easy installation on the car is made possible through user-friendliness and an intuitive torque limiter fastening system. The double hook fastening and protective rubber pads ensure a strong hold and vehicle protection.
The raised platform design improves visibility of tail lights and the license plate. Bikes can be easily secured with adjustable and removable bike retention arms, along with Thule AcuTight torque limiter knobs that click when optimum torque is reached. It accommodates bikes with up to a 127 cm (50") wheelbase.
Wheels can be secured easily with long rim retaining straps featuring a ratchet function. The carrier locks bikes to the bike rack and the bike rack to the vehicle (locks included). It folds flat for easy transport and convenient storage and does not require assembly.

3. BuzzRack Buzzracer 4
The Buzzracer 4 is very easy to use and has all the basic functions that a good bike carrier needs. It is also very strong.
Assembly: Although it is not assembled, the Buzzracer 4 is easy to put together. Simply mount it to the base with eight screws, attach the light bracket with two more screws, affix the number plate, slide in the plastic wheel carriers, and attach the carrier to the tow ball without needing any tools. Once assembled, you can let it rest on the tow ball without it falling to the ground. Then, take the weight back on, turn the locking knob until it is tight, and lock it in place. Buzzracer carriers meet the demanding XPR-18-904-4 standard and include an anti-sway tensioner, which has an integrated handle; usually, two to three turns are sufficient.
The Buzzracer 4 comes with a 7-pin lighting system. A 7-pin to 13-pin adapter is not included but can be purchased separately.
The Buzzracer 4 tilts easily and is very well balanced, even when fully loaded. It sits quite high on the tow ball, and the tipping function is optimized so that the lights do not hit the road, while the weight of the bikes helps bring the bike platform back to level in a controlled manner. However, this geometry does not allow high, vertical tailgates to be opened, such as those on VW Transporter T5 and T6 models.
The wheel holders accommodate all wheelbases, including small children's bikes. You can turn the wheel holders around for very small bikes. The Buzzracer 4 is suitable for carbon frame bikes, as the rubber-padded bike frame holders rotate 360 degrees and, along with rubber-padded straps, hold any type of frame firmly yet gently. There is a built-in locking cable to secure your bikes; however, it serves primarily as a deterrent.
