I am looking for a device for zone 2 training on my indoor bike.
I already have a chest strap, but would like to use a velocomputer instead of a Garmin watch for the heart zone display.
Would that work with this?

Yes, you can create different profiles, for example one for indoor training. In each profile you can define which training times are displayed and which fields they contain. You can also download and install data pages from the Garmin Store. For example DozenCycle
