This padlock features a hardened shackle with NANO PROTECT™ coating for very high corrosion protection. It has an automatic locking mechanism, allowing it to lock without a key by simply pushing down the shackle. The paracentric key profile enhances tamper protection, and the internal parts are made of corrosion-free, high-quality materials. It includes a precision pin cylinder with mushroom head pins.

The ABUS 85 padlock is suitable for securing bags, suitcases, caskets, as well as doors, gates, cabinets, lockers, tool boxes, cellars, sheds, and switchboards. The lock body is made of solid brass, while the shackle is constructed from hardened steel. The lock can be adapted to existing keys and locks by specialized trade (version service).

The series 85 is a service lock, and keyed alike series are available upon request for larger industrial applications.
