As the pumps are not self-priming, it is best to choose an installation location that is lower than the bottom of the respective water tank. This is the most effective way to protect the pumps against running dry. As they can be operated from a car battery or a mains adapter, you are completely flexible in terms of location and energy source. Maximum switch-on time 30 minutes. Continuous operation is not possible.
