Installation: The Homematic IP motion detector can be flexibly installed outdoors thanks to its weatherproof housing (IP44) and a wide temperature range of -20 to +55 °C. With a power supply of 230 V, no battery operation is required.

Fail-safe: An alarm can be triggered even with an inactive internet connection, as Homematic IP smart home devices communicate directly with each other.

Twilight sensor: The integrated twilight sensor reports the brightness level of the detected outdoor area to the Homematic IP app. This allows optionally connected outdoor lights to automatically turn on and off.

Smart highlight: The switch actuator of the motion detector allows for linking to additional Homematic IP motion detectors for better coverage of the monitored area. Additionally, by integrating into switch groups, multiple actuators can be activated simultaneously upon motion detection.
