The PROXXON fine milling cutter set is made from selected tungsten-vanadium steel quality. It features a practical, stable construction. The shank and milling part are made from a single piece. The precisely ground teeth ensure high run-out accuracy while maintaining elasticity. The set is suitable for processing soft and hardwoods, non-ferrous metals, precious metals, as well as plastics and gypsum. It is ideal for shaping, profiling, and grooving. The optimal cutting speeds depend on the diameter of the respective cutter and the material being processed. The larger the cutter, the lower the speed must be. For the material being processed: soft material = high speed, hard material = low speed. An exception is plastic. For clean and powerful clamping of the cutters, we recommend using MICROMOT steel collets.
