The wireless Airam SmartHome smoke detector functions like a regular optical smoke detector, even without the SmartHome app. When smoke is detected, the smoke detector will sound a loud alarm. If the device is connected to the Airam SmartHome app, you will also receive a notification on your phone. If the smoke detector is triggered while cooking, you can silence it by pressing the button on the device. You cannot silence the smoke detector through the app. It is recommended to install the smoke detector in all areas of the home, including bedrooms, escape routes, and stairwells, ideally in the center of the ceiling. Multiple SmartHome smoke detectors cannot be linked together.
