I am looking for a small portable MP3 player that can also be used to wake me up. As an alternative to the mobile on the bedside table. Ipod touch would be a possibility. Does anyone know of another good, inexpensive player? Thanks for any tips!

I have 2 daughters (5 and 7 years old). They both like to listen to children's music and stories. So far, I have given away an old mobile phone for this purpose, through which they have listened to their music via headphones, directly from the mobile phone or via Bluetooth speakers. Unfortunately, the mobile phone has now given up the ghost. (Or rather, the display did not survive a "harder encounter"...). Now I am looking for either a cheap MP3 player or a cheap Android mobile phone that I can give to the kids. Who has experience? It would be nice to have a player with a touch display so that the kids can navigate through the albums. Bluetooth, headphone output should not be missing either. Or maybe a cheap mobile phone that can be locked with Google Family Link? (For example, Wiko Y50, Wiko Y60 or Wiko Y70, ....?) I'm looking forward to any input and experience.

Hello I don't really know my way around, which is why I'm looking for a portable Bluetooth device that pairs my music with my mobile via headphones or via a device and then to my mobile. It should be portable with an integrated rechargeable battery and work without a cable. I own the Sennheiser Momentum 4 with a Xiaomi 13T Pro and would like to enjoy the highest quality on the go, i.e. 24bit up to 96 or 192Khz with various codecs aptX Adaptive i.e. aptX Losless or other high-resolution codecs. Hello all I'm looking for an MP3 player with a small screen that can play videos, i.e. a counterpart to the iPod nano 7G. Hello, in my search for a W-Lan capable MP3 player I am probably reaching the limits of what is possible, at the moment I have 2 such devices in our family park, a Louan MP3 player based on Android, the great thing about it is that all the usual and also rather unusual streaming player apps are pre-installed, these can be uninstalled and also the browser without much ado and once it's gone, it's gone... so perfect for kids who otherwise constantly do things they shouldn't. In addition, the computing power of the devices is rather limited for the Android operating system, which does not allow for any major exercises. So all in all, a neat idea. AAAAAAAAAber.... one device can only be charged randomly and the battery seems to be defective... there must be something wrong with the USB C socket. The battery is rubbish anyway... but at this price I expected nothing less. Unfortunately, there is no comparable device here, or I haven't found one yet, without talking it up. Amazon is and remains simply crap. The warranty services are subterranean and complicated and so time-consuming that with a 50€ device you probably don't bother to send it back, which I think is a shame. So if I have overlooked something or you know a device that can be connected to a WLan, then let me know.

I can imagine that they could be quite popular, because the players and headphones are very attractively priced and of very high quality, and so far no dealer that I know of has them for sale in Switzerland. I would be happy if that works out! @community: What do you think?

I don't know exactly what to do and spontaneously thought I could ask the local community for advice. The following: I have owned an Ipod Nano for many years, a brilliant piece of equipment and my constant companion, but it is about to die and of course I need a successor. Now the question of all questions: Should I buy an Ipod Touch (because it's pretty much the only Ipod that's still being sold) or is there a competing MP3 player that could be a worthy replacement for my Ipod and would also outperform the targeted Ipod Touch? (So, on the specs: 64GB storage capacity should certainly be the thing and priced at that of an Ipod). I am curious about opinions and suggestions and thank you already for reading this text to the end :)
