Bicycle lock test - bicycle locks - secure, inexpensive, good

In Stiftung Warentest's bicycle lock test, 81 models compete. Almost a third failed. Fortunately, there are also good locks for little money. If you are looking for a secure bicycle lock for your bike or e-bike, you can often only orientate yourself on the security specifications of the suppliers. But these are neither standardised nor comprehensible. Stiftung Warentest offers orientation. The break-in tests in the laboratory show: Locks with a high security level can indeed be relied on - but the bulwarks in the test cost up to 200 euros and are often heavy. This does not have to be the case: Among the bicycle locks in the medium security classes for around 30 to 90 euros, there were break-in resistant models, including the current test winner from the 2023 bicycle lock test.
