Video review: the new Lumix GH6 shoots in 5.7K at 50 frames per second
by Thomas Kunz
In the video, I take a look at the Nanlite Pavotubes II 15X and 30X. I want to find out if the new pixel effect feature is any good for a portrait photo shoot. For English subtitles, click the gear icon, «Subtitles/CC» and «Auto-translate».
A dark room, four tripods, a white background and the Nanlite Pavotubes in pixel effect mode with colour change at two-second intervals. For this setup, I equipped two front lights with a light grid. This makes the light shine more on the model than it does on the background.
I intentionally set the Pavotubes to be asynchronous. The result: a completely different look every two seconds – including a different background. The random mode and changing colours makes each image unique and therefore tricky to reproduce.
I’m a fan. End of.
As a photographer, human being and dad, I tell stories as close to life as possible. With all its corners, emotions and uniqueness.
