Twitter tests Edit Button

Twitter is conducting internal tests with an edit button. The long-awaited function is to be activated for certain "Twitter Blue" users this month.
In early April, Twitter announced that the social media platform was working on an edit button. After years of requests from the community, the function of being able to correct tweets that have already been published is to be introduced soon. Now Twitter's promises from last spring are becoming more concrete.
In a blog post, the platform with the blue bird confirms that the edit button is being tested internally. The function is being deliberately tested with a smaller group for the time being in order to be able to identify problems in advance - including potential misuse of the button.
Original tweets still visible
"Twitter Blue" users get access first
In the course of September, users of the premium service "Twitter Blue" are to get access to the Edit Button - but only in one country at first. It is unclear which country this will be and how long it will take until all users can use the function. However, it is already possible for the entire Twitter community to recognise edited tweets.
