Which KVM IP extender/switch do you recommend for my situation?

Hello I have the following situation: Room 1: Server-19'' rack where a small server will run. In it is the Ubiquiti UDM and a 24 switch Room 2: My PC and a Ubiquiti 8-bus switch As the server is currently on my desk, I can switch between the machines using KVM from Athens. However, as I soon want to put the new server in the rack in room 1 into operation, I was thinking about a KVM IP extender/switch. So that I can access my server from the Athen KVM switch via the IP extender to the 8-series switch and thus to the 24-series switch to which the second IP extender is then connected. The requirements for the device are that it also works via two switches in my case. I would configure the switches so that the IP extenders are in their own VLAN. Furthermore, the extenders should have Displayport and/or HDMI, preferably in 4K resolution, USB ports for mouse + keyboard and, if necessary, connect a storage device. Which device would you recommend? I was actually thinking of the following device, but it is currently not available: Digitus 4K HDMI® KVM Extender Set (was once listed under article 13654870) Pulling network cables or USB cables and monitor cables are basically impossible, or perhaps only possible as a last resort.

KVM switch HDMI or DP for 4k screen with EDID

I am looking for a KVM switch, HDMI or DP which supports a single 4k screen with at least 60Hz. The switch should support EDID (Extended Display Identification Data). This means that it should make the monitor believe that a computer is still connected, even if you switch to the other computer. This means that the OS does not "disconnect" the screen and all windows are moved to a second screen. Does anyone have a recommendation? Merci!

Switching manually is ok... but can it also be done automatically?

Hello zeme I am looking for a 2In1Out USB switch. That wouldn't be a problem, but you always have to switch them manually. Is there an automatic switch that simply allows the first powered connection to pass through?

KVM Switch for PC and Laptop

I have connected my PC with 2 VGA outputs to 2 monitors via VGA inputs. There is also a Displayport on each of the screens. My laptop (Lenovo Ideapad) has an HDMI output and a USB-C output (no Thunderbolt I think, otherwise it would have such a lightning sign or...?). Can I now connect my laptop and my PC to my two monitors via a KVM switch so that I can also work more comfortably with the laptop at home? Thanks for your tips

3 Port USB-C Dual Monitor KVM Switch

Hello everyone, I will be purchasing a new computer in the next few months and would like to connect the monitors to USB-C as well. My other client devices (HP notebook + MacBook for work) already have USB-C or partly Thunderbolt connections. So far I switch between the three devices via a KVM switch from Aten CS1944DP via DisplayPort (also dual monitors). Unfortunately, I have not yet found a KVM switch here at Digitec that works with USB-C or Thunderbolt + supports dual monitors and can manage more than 2 clients. Am I just too stupid to search, or is there no suitable product yet? I would therefore be interested to know how you connect your USB-C client devices to multiple monitors. (apart from the obvious solution of simply reconnecting the cables manually).

    KVM in Usb3 or RJ45

I've come to ask for your advice because I'd like to play video games and stream in a room that is 15 metres away from my PC. I would like to use a RJ45 KVM with HDMI and if possible 4x USB 2 and at least 1 X USB 3, unfortunately I can't find any. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use a USB 3 KVM, but I'm wondering if USB 3 is still effective at a distance of 15 metres? Do you have any advice or experience with this type of installation?

KVM switch with 120 or 240 Hz refresh rate wanted

Good day dear community. Apparently, image resolutions are less of a problem than refresh rates. I have not found a KVM switch anywhere that works with more than 60Hz, for example 240Hz. Yes, I could connect two sources to my Samsung screen (49''). However, in addition to all the fiddling around with the monitor, I would also have to switch the keyboard and mouse with a separate switch. Since I often have to switch, this is not the option I am looking for. Does anyone know of a switch à la Aten CS1922 that can do 120Hz (optionally 240Hz) at 5120 x 1444? The Aten CS1922 otherwise meets all requirements.

Connect PC & laptop with screen and mouse/keyboard

Hello together Need your help for my home office setting, I have a personal desktop PC, a monitor, a mouse/keyboard with USB dongle and a laptop from my employer. Currently I have a Hdmi cable on the monitor to the laptop and a DisplayPort cable to the desktop PC. I have to change the USB dongle of the mouse/keyboard when I want to use the laptop or the desktop PC. I would like to solve this differently. What do I have to buy so that I don't always have to reconnect the USB dongle? In other words, I plug the USB dongle into a device that both the desktop PC and the laptop can access.

Can you do daisy chaining behind a diplay port KVM switch?

Or does that depend on the KVM switch itself? The idea is that I have 3 monitors connected to 1 DP KVM switch output and then all 3 monitors are visible at the terminals. The end devices are of course also connected to the KVM switch via DP.

Search KVM Switch (2x Input & 2x Output)

Hello together I know this has been asked many times before and I'm sorry to ask for your help again. I am looking for a KVM swtich for the following configuration: 2x Output (1920x1680 monitors via HDMI) 2x Input: 1st input: PC (also via 2 HDMI) 2nd input: Laptop (here only via 1 HDMI connection) I have a few general questions about KVM switches: Does the operation via Bluetooth keyboard and mouse set work well when the USB receiver is connected to the switch? If I connect my laptop to the switch via HDMI, can I use the picture on both monitors? or does only 1 monitor work because only 1 HDMI cable is plugged into the switch?

KVM Switch for Macbook Pro / Gaming PC

Good day together I currently use the same mouse and keyboard for my gaming PC (2 monitors, the larger one connected via displayport) as well as for my Macbook Pro for work (laptop screen + the larger screen via HDMI). Now I would like to connect the mouse and keyboard to a KVM switch and then have the PC permanently connected there and plug the laptop in there when needed. What is the best variant? If it's not much more expensive, the monitor cables (or headset via USB) can also go through it, but it doesn't have to. Thanks for the help.

KVM Switch for Ultrawide (3440x1440p) Gaming/Office

Hello everyone, I currently have a gaming PC with an Ultrawide monitor (3440x1440p) via Dispayport. I often work in my home office and would like to be able to connect my business laptop as well. I don't want to have to move the keyboard and mouse every time and I want to be able to switch between the business laptop and the PC as quickly and easily as possible. What solutions are there? I have seen that it is partly problematic with an Ultrawide monitor. Many thanks in advance!

Simultaneous display of two devices on only one monitor?

Hello Comunity I am looking for a somewhat special solution. The requirement is to be able to display the output of two PCs on one monitor at the same time. So that output PC-A is displayed on the left and output PC-B on the right. Ideally, the respective PC should be selected by moving the mouse pointer to the left or right half of the screen without having to press any key combinations or switches. Does anyone know of a product that meets these requirements?

Connect multiple screens to a laptop and computer without having to move the keyboard and mouse.

Hello all I work in an office where everyone has their laptop connected to screens and peripherals via their own display port (Dell wd15 I think). Now we have a new standalone computer. Currently I have to switch the monitor, keyboard and mouse each time I want to use it. Is there a switch I can use to switch the display between laptop and computer, leaving the keyboard and mouse plugged in? What if another laptop, including keyboard / mouse / screens should be added? Questions upon questions... Important: The docking station must still be connected to the laptop, as the laptop thus runs via Lan with the Internet. Unfortunately, the computer cannot run via Lan. Thanks and LG

    KVM Swtich for Streaming Pc

Good evening. I am currently building a streaming enclosure that contains 2 independent systems. Now I am overwhelmed with the choice of the right switch. I am operating both systems separately, i.e. 1 system on its own monitor. I would like to switch only mouse/keyboard, a small interruption is also no problem. It would be ideal if I could reduce both audio outputs to 1.
