Yes, this is an LTE model (4G). The emergency SOS function is available on the smartwatch and works independently of the plan, you can activate it in the settings. Why is it not clearly stated that the 4G version does not work with most mobile phone providers in Switzerland? Now I've paid CHF 100 more for a function that I can't use (I'm with Galaxus Mobile). Perhaps I would have chosen a different watch if I had known about it. I'm still considering whether to return the watch for this reason.

Officially, only Swisscom supports the Google Pixel Watch 4 (source: https://support.google.com/googlepixe...). However, other users report that there is a way to use the watch with other plans. Apparently, you have to get to a certain screen with a SIM from a recognised supplier (in our case Swisscom) and can then scan the eSIM code of the actual plan. These are the instructions: https://www.reddit.com/r... - in our case, replace step 1 with "Insert a SIM card from Swisscom." Better prepaid, as it's cheaper - or a SIM from a friend. So far, this has only been confirmed with older Pixel Watch models and not with Galaxus Mobile. That's why I'm here. Personally, I don't yet know whether I'll give the whole thing a try.

The Google Pixel Watch 4 does not support direct export of GPX files from the Swisstopo app. However, you can plan routes in the Swisstopo app and save them on your smartphone.
