Enough. i7 you only need if you: Use programs that support more than 4 cores, e.g. in virtualisation, video editing, image editing etc.: Virtualisation, Video Editing, Image Editing etc. Most games support between 1-2 or sometimes even 4 cores. That's why it's better to get an i5 (my recommendation).
