Unfortunately, we don't know in advance whether the memory will be cheaper on Black Friday. But I'll keep my fingers crossed for you :-)
I wouldn't bet that the disks will be recognised 1:1 after the conversion. Even if this should be possible according to Synology under "HDD Migration".
With such a migration it is always advisable to back up the data separately on other data carriers so as not to be left with nothing if a migration goes wrong.
The RAID type can be changed afterwards, but not without restrictions.
Furthermore,
The DS1821+ has now been "sighted": stadt-bremerhaven.de/synology-ds1821-informationen-vorab-auf... but it will probably be a while before it becomes available. 10Gbit would have been nice now!
For the NAS the Synology E10G15-F1 and for the PC the Asus XG-C100C will do very well!
