Helpful answer

Yes, I personally have two connected to an HP zbook 15 running ubuntu, and I am more than happy with them.

I'm not sure if it's a good idea to have a usb-c port, but as mentioned, it's not enough to have a usb-c port. It's not enough to have a usb-c port, you need to have a computer (or phone, I remember it working on a samsung galaxy, but I don't remember which generation) that supports displayport

over usb-c, otherwise it won't work at all.

It's a good idea to use it on a samsung galaxy, but I can't remember which generation:
* displayport over usb-c = usb-c + displayport over usb-c
* I'm not sure which generation supports displayport over usb-c, otherwise it won't work at all.

Finally, I don't recommend the MB169B+ alternative, which works in principle under Linux but requires the installation of a proprietary driver, with just lousy results.

This screen is only compatible with very few models and personally I have never been able to get it to work despite the fact that our computer park is made up of more than 10 laptops with USB-C, I even have 2 Asus laptops and this screen is not supported, that's how bad this screen is. I even have 2 Asus laptops and this screen is not supported, that's how bad this screen is. It's a shame that Asus

produces a screen like this. I don't recommend it to anyone. Do not buy this screen you will be disappointed.
