I have the thing myself as a "cat camera" for the holidays. With motion-controlled recording, a 4Gb SD card is enough for several weeks.

The easiest way is to save the recordings locally (with a microSD card). Then the recordings remain "forever", i.e. until the SD card is full. Then the oldest recordings are simply overwritten. With the "mydlink Lite" app, you then have access to all the recordings on the SD card.
