Will this external hard drive be recognised by an older (2012) Samsung TV and is it suitable for playing video files there?
Did you find out? Does this hard drive work? I'm facing the same question right now.

I need it on a 2019 Sony TV and it works fine there. I would check the specifications of the TV, especially if the TV supports 2TB. If it does, then it should work.
