Like the big one, so the small one: The Carapax Flash helmet shares many similarities with its larger counterpart. Thanks to the Inmold manufacturing process, where the outer shell is directly connected to the Hi-EPS, the helmet is very lightweight. The back and temple areas are designed to be deeper for optimal safety in rough terrain, and the edges of the helmet are enhanced with Edge Protect. Additionally, large air vents ensure ideal ventilation. The Run System Classic allows the helmet to be adjusted to the shape of the head. For optimal visibility, the Multi-Fit Light is mounted on the back of the helmet. This thin and lightweight material is extremely break- and scratch-resistant, UV-stable, and antistatic. The removable visor protects against splashing dirt as well as direct sunlight. Edge Protect is applied to the lower edges of the helmet using the Inmold process, providing extra safety in case of side impacts and protection against damage during use. The inner shell of every Alpina helmet is made from Hi-EPS ("High Expanded Polystyrene"). It consists of microscopically small air chambers that optimally absorb the forces exerted during an impact. Hi-EPS ensures extra-thin wall thicknesses and narrow helmet shapes while still providing optimal protection, offering significantly more safety than spot-bonded helmets. All Alpina helmets are equipped with the Ergomatic buckle. The Y-Clip guarantees optimal fine adjustment of the closure.
