The Momentum from Black Diamond is a versatile harness that feels somewhat underutilized in the climbing gym. It truly shines outdoors, especially on multi-pitch routes. Black Diamond has constructed the harness using Dual Core Construction, which means that two webbing strands run along the upper and lower edges of the waistbelt, stabilizing the EVA foam insert and allowing for maximum breathability since they are not applied as a flat surface. This not only ensures optimal pressure distribution but also keeps the weight of the harness low. All of this is encased in a highly abrasion-resistant nylon material, capable of withstanding the highest performance demands. With such comfort, hanging in the harness at the belay station is quite pleasant, even for extended periods. The proven Speed-Adjust safety buckle on the waistbelt is pre-threaded, allowing for quick on and off of the Momentum climbing harness without user error. The leg loops are also designed for error-free adjustment, thanks to the new TrakFIT system, which features a sliding adjustment within a closed flexible system. Additionally, Black Diamond has enhanced safety with a color-accentuated tie-in loop. The blue of the loop stands out clearly against the gray webbing. The elastic adjustment straps of the leg loops can be individually tailored and can be detached from the waistbelt. In between, there is a haul loop that can carry not only ropes upwards with a strength of 12 kN but also heavy gear for long routes. The Momentum is completed with four molded gear loops that allow for hassle-free clipping and unclipping of carabiners.
