Suspension travel suspension fork

The suspension travel describes the total working travel available for the wheels in relation to the frame. Suspension travel in downhill sports is approx. 200 millimetres, in "All Mountain (Enduro)" sports 140 to 180 mm and in cross-country sports around 80 to 100 mm.

Fork shank diameter

The inner diameter of the fork is of interest for the steerer tube stem, as this must be inserted into the steerer tube, as already mentioned. The usual dimension at this point is 22.2 mm (= 7/8 inch). Other dimensions are, for example: 25.4 mm (= 1 inch) or 28.6 mm (= 1 1/8 inch)
