The Wolf Tooth rear axle offers more than just secure wheels. It features a non-losing steel washer under the head to reduce friction on the dropout. This protects your expensive frame, transfers more torque to the clamp, resulting in a stiffer interface, and prevents the axle from sticking or wearing down when removed. It is also a great replacement option for lost or damaged axles. Always apply a small amount of grease to the washer and threads during installation. Additional axle caps are available for extra protection, as well as trainer caps for indoor training on a roller.
