Hello, I am building a small piece of kitchen furniture and am looking for suitable fittings. Something with an integrated tension spring, maybe a damper. In the DIY store, you can quickly find something like that near the wood cutting. tl;dr: "wire type" is complete nonsense. Some highlights of what categories contain: - All purpose: pipe cleaners, fencing and electrical cables. - Aluminum: pipe cleaners, steel fencing and brass wire. - Cable rope: ... ... anything (And there are many times as many Drahtseile in the "rope" category than there are in "wire" category) - Effect: regular copper, aluminum, and brass wire - Floral: concrete binding wire used on construction sites (And most other categories contain flower wires that aren't in this one) - silver: plastic and nylon-coated steel

The title should explain the basics, but it truly is horrible. It's not good across most of the platform, but this category stands out. Whoever did the categorizing here was grossly incompetent, as that genius seriously put down rope for bricklaying "material group": "stone" and "material": "stone" (they are nylon; it's stated in the item description). But the problem is way more extensive than that. Like, if you're looking buy a rope "material group": "fabric" is completely worthless, yet somehow there's 186 ropes in that category from flax and cotton over latex-cored and recycled blends to polyester and polypropylene. There's also various ropes with (and only with) group "metal" because the item contains a metal piece (eg. a bungee cord with a metal carabiner), but yeah, the rope itself that makes up >90% of the item definitely isn't metal and that's kinda an important thing. More generally there should really be a "material group" for blends of natural and synthetic fibers, and it's kinda baffling how that doesn't already exist, considering it's actually really needed in countless categories (almost bought a "cotton" yarn when I was filtering for "plant material" that was half synthetic fiber). Nobody specifically searching with the filter set to "material group": "plant material" wants a blend with synthetic materials, regardless if it's about rope, twine, fabric, netting, tape, etc., etc. And usually somebody filtering for synthetic materials doesn't want a blend either. There is a forum thread at another end of the platform that also talks about the previous paragraph, but that thread is years old and yet the problem still exists.

Hello I am looking for a flexible LED profile with the following features: - The profile is mounted on a wall - Should radiate upwards (indirectly against the wall, or straight upwards). Not away from the wall. - It must be flexible so that I can mount it in a wall (radius) of the spiral staircase. - Colour white - The LED strip should be covered from the side so that I am not dazzled - Length approx. 7 metres (- Hue LED strip should fit inside (open to alternatives)) Intended use. I have a spiral staircase that leads up several flights of stairs in a "tube". I would like to run accent lighting in a spiral up the steps along the Gibs tube. Many thanks for your help. Under furniture technology you will find everything from shelf supports to swivel wheels. Without a filter, the search is very limited and it is not possible to find an article if you do not have the right search term ready. Even a synonym does not help. A filter would be great.
