The outdoor heating for installation in cast asphalt GSN is designed to keep parking garage ramps, emergency access routes, entrance areas, etc., free of snow and ice. The GSN heating mat consists of a glass fiber armored mesh onto which a dipole heating conductor is sewn. The allowed application temperature is 240 °C for 10 minutes. The glass fiber armored mesh prevents the heating conductor from floating up. The sewing technology with an aramid thread guarantees a 100% reliable installation and stability of the heating mat. The mat does not need to be fixed to the substrate. The optimal asphalt thickness is 2x2 cm and must be applied in two working steps. The heating conductor is resistant to spherical acids and alkalis.
