Product details

The Safe-T rotating splitting wedge from Fiskars splits particularly hard pieces of wood. Thanks to the grooves on its surface, it has a better grip in the wood and can split more effectively. Its blade, rotated 90 degrees, is also very practical. The Fiskars rotating splitting wedge is made of hardened C40 steel and has a Rockwell hardness of 36-42 HRC. Weighing 2,400 grams, it is very robust and handy. The head of the 24-centimeter long wedge features a special polymer striking surface, which is surrounded by a metal ring. This is specifically designed to dampen the vibrations that occur upon impact, thereby reducing the risk of potential material splintering. The striking surface can be replaced if necessary. The splitting wedge meets European safety standards and carries the "Tested Safety" seal. The exceptional design of this tool has been awarded the prestigious Red Dot Design Award. Additionally, it received the highest rating of "very good" in practical tests from the DIY magazine "Selbst ist der Mann.".
