The threaded hole saw is not intended for direct use on the drill bit without an adapter. You need a suitable adapter or drill chuck holder with thread to securely attach the hole saw to the drill. Bosch offers special adapters with hexagonal shanks and centring drills that are suitable for hole saws with threaded holders. Without such an adapter, you cannot use the hole saw directly on the drill bit.
